Oscar from Peru said that he hoped he got to see a big snow storm while he was here… his wishes have been granted! I am not sure what things are like in Winona, where they’re spending this week, but here in Northfield we had an early release snow day. (Every kid and teacher’s dream!) Here’s the scene from outside my window in Northfield:
Oscar says that some of the cities we’re visiting will be hot and humid, while some will have climate like Minnesota. This is presenting quite the packing challenge!

It was a good chance for our team to practice our Spanish (Erin proved that charades can go a long way), ask some last minute questions about Peru and receive some words of wisdom from our new friends…such as, pack for various climates, let your stomach get settled before you try the ceviche, and visit Machu Picchu!
